A house arranged around the light, for a family who wanted somewhere unhurried to grow into.
Longwater sits on a tight Balmain block that falls away to the water. Rather than fight the slope, we let it set the pace of the house — a slow descent of half-levels from the street, each one opening to a different quality of light. Spotted-gum floors, lime-washed walls, and a single long window that follows you down. Built over fourteen months, with the owners on site most Fridays.
