New homes
Ground-up custom houses for owners who want a home with a point of view — built once, built properly.
A small Sydney building practice. We take on a handful of homes a year, so that each one can be made with the attention it deserves.
We build fewer houses, on purpose.
Verso began in a terrace workshop in Rozelle in 2009, with a stubborn idea: that a house is not a product to be delivered but a long conversation to be had. We sit with the people who will live in a home, learn how they move through a day, and let that shape the rooms.
The result is a slower way of working. Drawings get marked up by hand. Joinery gets prototyped before it gets ordered. We turn down more work than we take, and we never run two of the same plan twice.

Extensions and second storeys that read as though they were always part of the house, not bolted to it.
Careful work on Federation and inter-war homes across the inner west — restoring the bones, quietly modernising the rest.
An in-house joinery bench. Kitchens, libraries and stairs drawn and made for the room they live in.
We sit in alongside your architect from the first sketch, so buildability and budget are honest from day one.
A standing relationship after handover. A house we built is a house we look after.
